Last week, I decided to make some cookies. It was one of those that someone puts all the ingredients in a mason jar really pretty with instructions to dump and add a few things like butter, egg, etc....anyway, I followed the directions exactly, and this is what I ended up with: haha! I didn't even bake them that long! I think the baking soda or powder or SOMETHING inadvertently got left out! It kinda looks like the school pizzas we used to get that were cut into rectangles!!
On the upside of that disaster, Bill made us steaks on the grill that same night and they were goooood!!!
I got some tulips for Valentine's day, they are my absolute favorite flower!
My dad, Chace, and Grace at our little Valentine's party at Amy's the other day....
Grace is getting more and more adamant about not wanting to go back to her mom's when she leaves here. She called again last Sunday at 9 (Bill dropped her off at 6) just screaming and crying because she wanted to come back here. She said that since she left here, we were all she could think about. Eventually, Bill got her calmed down....but it carried on for the better part of 10 minutes. It's just awful....
We took the girls to St. Louis to the Magic House last week. It was really fun, I would recommend it to anyone with kids! There was soooo much to do and they really loved it. It was very cheap (8.50 each) and well worth it. You should check it out.... www.magichouse.org
I've went to the dr. a few times since my last post about it. I've been hearing a few different things than I did from my last dr. But, I'm glad because I'm finally getting some answers. My HSG was about the same as the last one I had done a few years ago. However, it's not that my tubes are "blocked". The end of it is "deformed" and probably always has been. Fallopian tubes have these little grabbers on the end and mine don't. It's just an end with a little hole in it. He has also said endometriosis, which was never mentioned to me before, but explains so much about what I've had. Here is a link to read about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endometriosos Hope that link works. Anyway, it's amazing to me what the symptoms of it are compared to the ones I have and that it had never been mentioned to me. Anyway, so we discussed that and dr. said that the only way to "fix" the tube was laprascopic surgery. He said he would go in and cut the end and make it have the finger like grabbers. After recovery, I would then start clomid to try to make me ovulate (it's never worked in the past, so we'll see) and if the clomid doesn't work, then I would have to go to E'Ville for injectables. But, the whole point of the surgery is because if I did the med and it did make me ovulate, it would be pointless because the tube was deformed....so, he said they would check with my insurance and let me know about the surgery.
I had another appt. Thurs and we scheduled the surgery for Feb 23. I have to go on the 19th for pre-op and registration. It will be inpatient, they said for 1-3 days probably. I am hoping for the 1 day! Thankfully, Bill is off of work on Monday and is going to try to get Tues. off also. He told me originally recovery would be 4-6 weeks...then maybe 3 weeks. He will be doing a laparotomy with tuboplasty, tubal insufflation, and hysteroscopy. Don't ask me what they all are, because I don't know!! That's just what my paper says. Anyway, so if you would, please be thinking about me and hope that everything goes ok! I'll update more on it afterwards.
Well, I'm off to get a shower present for my cousin Ashlei....have a good Saturday / Valentine's day...spend good times with the ones you love!!
